Insider Preview build 10586

Just been upgraded to build 10586. All went smoothly and everything still in place and operational. Neil.

 

So the first question is when will non insiders receive Threshold 2, and are there any visual improvements in the build?

 

I have not been able to pick out any visual changes to the layout. Running it side by side with this W10 comp - they appear the same. The dramatic/subtle changes (depends on your appreciation) will be in the OS itself. Neil.

 

Checked for updates every few days and it finally showed up on my pc's. Update went fine and the funny thing is that it removed Speccy from my pc stating that it probably wouldn't run on the new update. ver 10.0.10586

 

Uh oh, I spoke to soon. So I let my old laptop update and it wiped my Office 2010 and converted it to chinese.?. Yes it is a valid version but I dont have the disc anymore. Oyoyoy.

 

If you have your Product Key for the MS product, you can visit MS Office downloads and get another copy. I had to do it with MS Office 2013 when I changed HDD's. Pretty straight forward - just follow the instructions. Neil.

 

Yes I do, luckily. I will probably give it a good wiping first to get rid of the years of fat build up. Didn't want to go that route but looks like no other solution.
