Resolved Cean Install

    Picked up a virus and want to clean install Windows 10. My recovery image is Windows 8.0.

    Do I need to do a full recovery to Windows 8.0 and do all the updates including to Windows 8.1 or can I do a clean install with the Windows 10 DVD I made when I upgraded? If the latter, what is the procedure for a clean install V. a re-install?

    If I do a clean install, is there a way to get back the DVD software that came with the computer?

    If you downloaded the iso file for Windows 10 from here boot from it and make a clean install. Follow the instructions on the screen.

    How to Clean Install Windows 10
    Only if you can make a backup of the installation files.
