WLM was not sending or receiving emails, so I uninstalled it. I tried to re-install Windows Live Essentials and I got the message that I was missing the WLDCore.dll file and that's why the Mail and Photo Gallery wouldn't work. I want WL to work primarily because I would like to access my photos and the Mail was handy because Windows 10 Mail cannot set up group emails. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Bigalx58, Have you thought of Recovery? Start > Settings > Recovery > Reset this PC > Then you choose what you want to do.
Backup first to a drive or folder. Neil.

I did a reset and I think that might be the cause of the problem.

I've seen that before, but the author fails to give enough directions. I don't know how to do what he says. I'm dealing with Windows 10 and not used to it, so I find it difficult to locate files etc. I need more specific instructions. Sorry to be a pain.

Thanks for your suggestions! I tried to use the suggested solutions, but I think they are not designed for Win 10, consequently, nothing worked. The strange thing is that even after supposedly downloading WL Essentials, I can't find it on the computer...not in the Control Panel or anywhere else....maybe it could be because I don't know where to look? I think that I'm getting to the point of forgetting about it:( Thanks for your effort!

Windows Essentials shows in my Programs and Features - last entry on list.
If you Right click on it and left click Change - you can do a Repair from the Menu. Neil.

I tried to repair WLE, but the process stopped at 74%. Then I did a recovery from a restore point and WLE seems to be OK...but WL mail keeps asking me to enter the password...but that problem is for another day. I'm sure I'll be back...Wlndows 10 is so much fun!!!:( Thanks for your efforts.
