Windows 10 explorer not playing flash videos, it can play you tube videos they are playing when using google chrome and now windows media only playing some videos, audio is good have tried updating flash player, search for necessary updates all I'm getting is windows is up to date.
Media player is set to default and was playing all video files before, other players are playing the files so the problem is with both windows media and explorer.
This is happening on my Toshiba Satellite C855D-S5230 laptop which was upgraded from Win 7 Pro to Win 10. It was working very good after the upgrade until recently.

Hi grensam. Download the K-Lite Codec Pack Standard which will allow Windows Media Player to play all common video and audio file types. Make sure to uncheck any extra offers in the installation program as they are not needed.

Make sure you have updated Adobe Flash player and you may need K-Lite Codecs as well. Neil.

You may need to visit Toshiba for compatible W10 graphic drivers. Neil.

I don't see any Windows 10 drivers available for that laptop model. You might try downloading this video driver for your model but if that does not work then you might try installing the latest AMD video driver from AMD's website directly.

I have the same problem so I thought I would follow the same instructions but . . .
Since I just got through cleaning up my computer (with Broni's guidance),
I got a message to run quick update. If I run it will I get more malware?

Hi DPI Graphics. I don't know what message you are receiving but if you install the K-Lite Codec Pack and you make sure to uncheck any extra offers that are included in the installer then no you won't get any crapware on your system.
