I have a video DVD that plays fine on my DVD player. It is a collection of 8MM home movies that were converted by a 3rd party. I also copied that DVD to an ISO image on my NAS using BurnAware Free which seemed to have worked. However, both behave differently on my PC than the real DVD does on my player. When I try to play either using both Media Player and RealPlayer the screens pop up and appear to be loading but that is all that happens. They never really play. If I open either using Movie Maker and open the VOB files directly, the clips load but when I play them less than 20 seconds play of clips that are minutes long. I must be missing something but I don't know what. Why can I not get these DVDs to play properly on my PC? TIA.

Hi gw1500se. Try installing the K-Lite Codec Pack Standard and see if you can play the DVD after the codec pack has installed.
