DNS prompt remote procedure call failed

Hi all,

I have this teething problem and it has been bugging for some time. I have a DNS server installed on a NT 4.0 (sp6a) server. When I clicked on the server ( only one is in the list and configured ), it will prompt 'remote procedure call failed and cannot be executed' . After restarting the server, it will be fine but after a few minutes, it prompt the same message again. I tried to used the hotfix q299444 to solve but to not avail.

Please post all details of the event log error.

 

Thanks u Newt from replying, the intneresting part is there is nothing in the Event viewer, not even the system/application/security log.
