    Hi So0o0Confused,

    Close Netscape
    Do a "Find" for MSVCRT.DLL
    (Start|Find|Files or Folders)

Rename the MSVCRT.DLL files found in C:\Program Files, to MSVCRT.DXX. Do not rename the C:\Windows\System MSVCRT.DLL, or the CABS MSVCRT.DLL file (if you have one in that folder). This will force Netscape to use the Windows version of MSVCRT.DLL. This was a solid fix for the error in Communicator, and should also work in Netscape 7.01.

Start Netscape, and see if the error persists over the next few days. Post back with results, or if you continue to have problems.

    Hi So0o0Confused,

No, don't rename MSGLOCAL.DLL. Leave it as is. You should revert the MSVCRT.DXX file back to the original name (MSVCRT.DLL). I'm surprised that it didn't work, as I had personal success with that fix.

Out of curiosity, which program had the second MSVCRT.DLL, i.e., the one you renamed?

I'll see if I can find another solution for you, and post back.

    Ramona :D

EDIT: In addition, was the program with the MSVCRT.DLL file, which you renamed, a recent install by chance?

Right click on your System MSVCRT.DLL file and look in Properties for the Version number. Post it for me if you will, please.

    Thanks!

    Hi So0o0Confused,

Thanks so much for posting back to the Forum with your solution. Did Yahoo update your Version of Java, or simply install the same Version over the existing? This will be good to know, in the event the error should come up again.
