    WINDOW 7

Recently when trying to download statements from my bank am finding when I click on download a' Windows Media' pop up comes on with no way of being able to access my statement.

I think I have enabled this by mistake. I have got Acrobat Reader which I think used to do it but do not know how to enable it again.

BE GRATEFUL OF ANY HELP PLEASE.

Hi Snowdrop. It sounds like you could have a malware infection present on your machine but I want to make sure.

Can you post a screenshot of this Windows Media pop up that comes up please?

Really sorry tried all ways and cannot do it.All I can tell you is it is the pop up that comes when you click on the Windows Media Centre Button. I think I have clicked that to open all files by mistake.

Hi Snowdrop, I'm just looking in at your Thread and from your problem explanation I assume that you have Windows Media Centre installed?
You said you think you activated WMC by mistake - how do you normally switch off WMC?
It would appear to me that just switching off WMC should solve your problem. You can use Task Manager to END program if push comes to shove. Neil.

Thank you Evan and Neil was very grateful of your help but due to my lack of technical knowledge was this time unable to follow your good advice.

What I did in the end was go into Adobe and they advised me and it worked!!

Once again thank you for your knowledge and patience.
