I am trying to install Windows 98 SE on a new hard drive but am having difficulty as this is the 1st time I've ever done this. I get to a DOS screen that says "Please wait while Setup initializes...Scanning system registry...Copying files needed for Windows Setup... ", then it just hangs! What to do?...What to do?...

    muvashaka,

Welcome to the board! Have you formatted the drive? How about FDISK to set up partitions and enbale "large disk support "? Those would be the first things I would check.

Thanks. Went back to hd floppy and removed "EZ-BIOS ". Seemed to do the trick.
