Flash Player & Youtube

Hope this is the right section. After i got back off my holiday in January, Adobe flash player updated to .305 and 5 Microsoft updates were done. Now when i watch a YouTube video it buffers a lot and goes all blurry and will go back to normal part of the way in to it, this never happened before my hols, and when i go on to say Facebook, when its loading it will cut out the radio i listen to on the pc and then return when loaded also does it some other websites but not all, this also never happened.
I started with deleting the Microsoft updates and still does it and i reverted flash plash player to .257 and still got the problems, has anyone got a fix for this, i am using my pc that i use by day that is not listed in my specs as far as i can see only list one pc, but pc is a Dell Optiflex 745, with

The speed on your internet would have a lot to do with buffering. Have you run a speed test to see what you are getting and if it is close to what you are paying for?

 

Nothing wrong with speed, constant 12Mb/s using speedtest. net, and at all times.

So, i rolled back flash player to .235 and Youtube is playing ok but still get my radio cutting out on when Facebook and some web sites loads and then the radio plays when sites have loaded.

I have noticed that flash has new update 17. so i have installed that and will evaluate over next few days and see whats happening.

 

Just to note: Adobe Flash Player latest update is 17.0.0.134 and Adobe Shockwave is 12.1.3.153 on this HP Notebook I'm using. Neil.

Sorry, no, i haven't got any other browser on and don't intend using any others apart from IE and i absolutely hate that, have noticed that when Facebook is loading it still cuts out the radio but is a lot quicker in coming back on.

Im going to uninstall and reinstall firefox when i have time just in case there is something broken or missing, probably over the weekend.

 

FireFox is a browser. You say you don't have any other browser then you say that you are going to uninstall and reinstall FF in case something is broken. What makes you think something is broken or missing? If you would of done this 4 weeks ago, the problem might have been fixed by now.

 

Sorry, im Bi-polar and tend to get ahead of myself and sometimes don't read and explain properly when im on an episode, and have been all over the place for a while and waiting for the extra meds to kick in. So what i should of said is i am using FF and don't use any other browser, the reason i don't want to try another browser is i think it would be pointless for me.

FF was working perfectly up until i updated flash player after my hols, and haven't had any time to give this pc a lot of time to try and sort it, but have a little time so one of the easiest is start with uninstall FF and reinstall as i don't lose any settings, and after the latest flash player hasn't sorted the problem so will have to look at it more, if FF doesn't sort it, i hope i have explained it a bit better.

 

Well, IE is part of Windows and it is on every machine that is running Windows and should be kept up to date even if it isn't used. So there would be no other browser to download and try.

What I was getting at is if you try another browser that could kind of narrow it down to it being the browser or Flash or some other problem.

 

Did you get Adobe Flash up date from Adobe or some other source?
Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Adobe flash and give us the full version numbers shown there. See my previous Post #6. Neil.

 

I got the flash player from Adobe and not from anywhere else, ver 17.0.0.134, redone firefox and no change, and cant really tell with IE as not enough time to sit long enough but initially doesn't seem affected, more testing required.

 

Have you got the latest Graphics drivers from Dell or card manufacturer? Neil.

 

Everything is up to date with drivers.

 

How is your testing going?

 

Did some over the weekend, and still no joy, im sure its something to do with page loading times and doesnt seem fast enough, so tried some tweaks to firefox as suggested by some sites and still no joy, sometimes while some sites are loading they sometimes seem to hang and or freeze before and after tweaks.

Would increasing Ram to 4gb have any effect, dont know what else i can do, i was even thinking of putting the guts into another desktop case and add a higher PSU but don't know if that's compatible.

Download Autoruns and Autorunsc Unzip it to your desktop and then double click autoruns.exe After the scan is finished then click on File>>>>>>>>>>>Save The default name will be autoruns.arn make sure to save it as Autoruns.txt under the file type option. in other words make sure it is a .txt file instead of .arn Attach the text in your next reply.

Open your add remove programs and uninstall the following.

µTorrent (HKCU\...\uTorrent) (Version: 3.4.2.36802 - BitTorrent Inc.)
Java 8 Update 31 (HKLM\...\{26A24AE4-039D-4CA4-87B4-2F83218031F0}) (Version: 8.0.310 - Oracle Corporation)


Update your version of FireFox, it is extremely outdated.

Lets get started speeding up your internet connection, shall we.

• Click here to download RstHosts v2.0
• Save the file to your desktop.
• Right Click and Run as Administrator.

The next step in speeding up your internet connection.

Open your device manager. hit the start button then copy and paste devmgmt.msc into the start search box hit enter.

Left click the + next to network adapters, right click and un-install your wireless driver and your ethernet driver, make sure and do not tick the box that says delete driver.



Then, click the View menu and select Show hidden devices
Then click on

Then scroll down right click and uninstall the drivers listed below, don't worry these will be reinstalled upon reboot by windows.

• Ancillary Function Driver for Winsock
• Net BT
• Http
• Net Io Legacy Support Driver
• Tcp/ip Protical Driver
• Tcp/ip Registry Compatibility
• NSI proxy Service
• ide channel
• Nd Proxy
• Security Driver
• Security Processor Loader Driver
• Windows Firewall Authorization Driver

Each of these files will request a reboot after uninstall.


Select no until you uninstall the Windows Firewall Authorization Driver then select Yes to reboot your machine.

• Open Elevated Command Prompt.
• Click Start
• All Programs
• Accessories
• Right-click Command Prompt
• Click Run as administrator.
• Now type or copy and paste the commands below, (one at a time) hitting enter after each.

ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR



Then disable Ipv6 with this Ms Fixit.

Note: This fix-it may fail at disabling ipv6, here are manual instructions.

1. Hit start
2. Control Panel
3. Network & Internet
   
4. NetWork & Sharing Center
5. Change Adapter Settings.
   
6. Right Click Your Connection
7. Select Properties
8. Un-Check Ipv6
9. Hit ok.

Remove the tunnel adapters, with this Ms Fixit.


Go ahead and install Ccleaner. Now that you have the program installed go ahead and run the cleaner function.


Now that you have cleaned out some temp files, lets go ahead and disable all of the items starting up with your machine except your antivirus. To do this you will need to click on tools then start up select each item then disable.



Now that you have disabled those un-needed start ups lets go into the settings, we will have Ccleaner run when your machine boots, so that you will never have to worry about cleaning temp files again.

To do this:

• Hit options.
• Settings.
• Place a tick to run Ccleaner when the computer starts.

Now go to the advanced tab, and select close program after cleaning, now run the cleaner again this will close Ccleaner.




Reboot your machine, and tell me how things are working.
