I suddenly find I cant copies between folders. I note that in Folder Properties/Sharing sometimes I see Permissions: "Post" and sometimes Permissions: "Full Control ", but I see no way to set these permissions.

Only when I see "Full Control" can I copy into that folder.

    ???

Are these folders that you could previously copy to and now cannot, or are they newly created folders that the email admin has created?

The email admin can change the permissions on the server end. You might want to get in touch with your email administrator and talk with them on how to set the permissions on the folders.

These are well established folders I have copied to by drag'n'drop before. I have been able to use the "File to" option when the folder level does not go too deep, and I have been able to drag and drop on another PC also running Mozill 1.2.1 but in Linux Redhat 8.

In my experiance the IMAP folder mamagement is quite fragile in Netscape/Mozilla - but far better than Outlook!

One thing you can try is to rename the .msf files in the user profiles. Since IMAP does not actually store the messages on the system, the next time you connect, it should recreate the .msf files again.

On my system, the imap sharing has a privileges button that takes me to a webpage so I can manage the permissions, but this is enabled on the email server.
