That is a common and unfortunate misconception created by overzealous Microsoft marketing weenies and IT journalist seeking sensational headlines.

Touchscreen is just another HID (human interface device) NO DIFFERENT from your keyboard and mouse. And touchscreen support is just a tiny new feature in W8. I've been using W8 since it came out and I don't use touchscreen and don't miss it. I don't want my fingerprints all over my "beautiful Samsung" monitors - nor do I want even more repetitive stress injury to my rotator cuffs.

True, but then the budget matters regardless.

Bill You're correct touch screens are no big deal. Just another thing to double up on the cleaning chores.

I have a 24" Dell Monitor, would never go for touch screen.
Dakota are you going then to use a KVM switch, or are you having 2 Monitors.
I use 3 computers via KVM, but to be correct is it is only KM as I don't use the Video trough the KVM switch I use HDMI for Video going through a HDMI switch.
