I had a functioning copy of Win7-64 and a functioning copy of both IE11-32 and IE11-64. To do some testing, I needed IE10. I un-checked IE11 in "Add/Remove Windows Components" thinking it would revert to a lesser version of IE. Not quite... I still have "Internet Explorer" directories under Program Files and Program Files (x86), but inside of those directories, there's no "iexpore.exe" at all.
    -------------
Trying to run the 45MB offline installer for 64-bit IE10 yields an error box, "Internet Explorer did not finish installing... Internet Explorer 10 is already installed on this computer..." Is there a cleansing procedure that I need to run that will fix this, and allow me to install IE10? --how to proceed..? Thanks!

IE11 is a Windows Update. To roll back to IE10 from IE11 you need to uninstall the IE11 update from Windows Update.....

Start > Control Panel (View by Large icons) > Windows Update > View Update History > Installed Updates > type Internet Explorer 11 into the search box which will show Internet Explorer 11 in the main window > click on it to highlight and select Uninstall. This will roll back IE11 to IE10.

In view of your actions to get back to IE10 I suggest you first check IE11 in Add/Remove Windows components and confirm that IE11 is up and running - then uninstall as above.

If IE11 does nor reappear a System Restore to a point prior to unchecking IE11 may work, difficult to say.

Thanks PeteC -- that did the trick. My machine is now reverted back to IE10. I'm going to start another thread on another IE10 topic, now that I have it available for testing....
