I'm after some Information regarding Wireless Networking.

I currently have a Network or Two computers Connected using Standard Network cards via a Hub and using RJ45 Cables.

I want to add a Third PC to the Network which is situated in a Different room and cannot be connected to the Hub Via Cables.

It was suggested to me to use a Wireless network to connect the Third computer into my already existing Network.

I've searched the Net for Information Regarding this topic but cannot find anything.

I take it I need a Wireless Network Card connected to the PC but where do I connect the Second Network Card to Connect it into my network.

Do I need to connect this to one of the PC Currently on the Network or do you get a Wireless Adapter with an RJ45 Port on it so that I can connect it directly to the Hub.

    Thanking you

    Wireless Network

Hi Flossie, I have just purchased the D-Link DI-614+ Wireless Cable/DSL Router and also a D-Link Adapter for my network and I tell you what it is awesome, you can buy just the Access Point like a Wireless Hub but the price is about the same so I would get a Router instead. In case you don't know how the wireless hook up to your existing network I can give you advice, you connect your current network from the hub or switch to the wireless unit with a patch cable CAT5 and then install your wireless addapter to your computer or laptop that you want the wireless in NOTE: you can buy a Wireless PCI Adapter (DWL-520+) or a Wireless PC Card (DWL-650+) both by D-Link, once you have the wireless card installed you have to make sure that you dissable the DHCP from the Wireless router by entering the setup through you Internet Browser (IE). Make sure you configure the router with an IP Address that matches your current network. You should be able to see all the other computers on your network with the new wireless system, If you need more help let me know and I'll be happy to help you connect your wireless system. Have fun... :)
