When Windows live Mail essentials 2011 came out, I installed it on my Vista Home Premium. Lately I get duplicate e mails and occasionally an error code.
Repairing the WLM does not solve the problem. On the MS web site it states that WLM essentials 2011 is not available anymore because of security issues and WLM essentials 2012 is not compatible with Vista. If I revert back to Windows Mail, will my inbox e mails and contact list be saved? I did back up the inbox e mails, but one has to click on each one to see the content.

I suppose that I have to first un-install the existing one on my PC because it state that these programs are already installed and I get only the option to close the window.
I am going to make sure that all my existing mail folders are backed up. I was hoping to avoid that by reverting back to Windows Mail.

I do back up all my files to an external HD, but I have been lax with the e mail folders.
Right now I am answering all e mails and cleaning out all the folders. Then I shall try to un-install the existing Windows essentials 2011 and re-install fresh. If that does not work, I will have to be happy with Windows Mail.

I do have Outlook and hotmail and of course my web based e mail from my ISP, but I found the funnctions in Window Essentials 2011 nicer to use. Unfortunately, Windows Essentials 2012 does not work on Vista.
    Thank you for the replies.

Sorry, wrong thread and wrong forum. It pertained to the spry tabbed virus on the Readers Digest web site.
I notified them of having the virus on their web site, however they did not reply, but the virus has been removed.
