I recently purchased a new computer for my wife. The OS is Windows 7 Professional. Her printer is an HP deskjet 960c. I cannot seem to find the installation disks for the printer and the HP website seems to say that there is no downloadable software for that model printer.

    Help, please.

From looking at HP page for your printer it tells you:
Install the Driver Using Windows Update with a USB Connection
HP Single-Function Printers - Installing the Product with the USB Cable and Using the Windows Update Driver or the Driver Located in the Windows 7 Operating System.

You should just be able to go to windows update after you plug in your printer into a USB port and turn the printer on.

The instructions say "Driver - Product Installation Software (‏1)
Install the Driver Using Windows Update with a USB Connection (Downloadable Driver Not Available) "

I you click on that you don't get anything. Am I missing something?

Maybe what they mean is that there isn't any need for software. Windows 7 takes care of it automatically??

I think you're right - I didn't go beyond the first page of the link I posted.

Plug it in, switch it on and see what happens :) Windows 7 has a lot of drivers on board.
