I have Time warner business class internet and I have the Motorla modem connected to a netgear dual band router.
I keep having connectivity issues with the internet so time warner tech tells me that it is a bad router. This is the second one that I have bought in the past 18 months because I was told this before. The older router is at home performaing flawlessly and with great stability and speed.

So, just to shut up the tech about my "junk" router, I connected my main computer directly to the modem. It has four ports on the back. in another port I had, and still have the router plugged in.

NOW my computer cannot find the network printer connected to the router. Is there some solution to this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Normally, in order to print to a network printer, you would need to be on the same network as the printer.

What is the model number of the Motorola modem?

More than likely the problem is that you are using two routers. If the Motorola modem has 4 ports on the back it is not just a modem, it is a modem-router combo. You will always have problems using one router connected to another router unless they are configured properly.

On one of the routers you must disable DHCP and NAT and let just one of them handle addressing and DNS.
