I have an HP 952C printer and recently purchased A Canon
S530D for my digital photos. When we had the 2 printers connected we couldn't print on either. We disconnected the HP and the Canon worked fine. One is on a parallel and one is on a USB cable. I would like the use of both for different projects. Can you tell us what we can do to fix this problem.

I have two printers running on one pc. When I want to print I go to file - print and when the print box comes up I pick which printer I want it to print to. Then click on the button for it to print.

Check your port configurations and make sure each printer is using the port its connected to.

    2 printers to 1pc

Thanks for your help. I reconnected my HP and did print and picked the HP from the drop down menu. I have some icons that I don't understand how they got into printer settings....but am reluctant to remove them. One is HPD640....one is Acrobat PDF Writer.....Capture Fax BVRP....Can you tell me what these are.
I have never installed an HP D640 and don't know how the rest got in there.

The PDFWriter is a system-level printer driver that produces Portable Document Format (PDF) files from almost any application. The control interface allows applications to programmatically control the PDFWriter
driver. For more on the PDF Writer http://partners.adobe.com/asn/developer/acrosdk/docs/pdfwapi.pdf The other is for your fax. Like if you use MS Word to make a letter. You can send that letter right to your fax by printing to the Capture Fax BVRP.
