Have not had time yet, but I am going to install W-7 64-bit on my 32-bit Dell Duo-Core 530 xp, that has 4gb ram installed. Will it see 4 or 3.13gb of ram..

Yep, she will do warp 9.6 for up to 12 hrs if needed...

Thanks for all the links, I learned a lot reading the posts and going through the dell sites. I updated my bios, and a few drivers. Waiting for my guru nephew to deliver the software to change to W-7/64

That is an odd number 3.13 Video Cards do use some of the systems RAM but it is usually in increments of 8's. 8, 16, 24 etc. which does drop your RAM amount from what is in the machine.

Hi gary7. Your Dell machine will be able to run the 64-bit version of Windows 7 but keep in mind that you will need to perform a clean install of Windows 7 so you should back up all your important data before taking the plunge.

Thank you, I am all backed up and ready to go. Only thing I and concerned about is getting drivers for 32 bit hardware. Well I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Hi Evan, I am still waiting for my nephew, he has been out of the country the last few weeks. He has all the software. I will post back as soon as I can get him over here and get W-7 installed...
