I have both IE and Chrome on my computer. We have two e-mail addresses, one for personal messages and one for on-line shopping and non-family stuff. I have IE logged into the both addresses and Chrome logged into just the shopping address.

I'd never tried to cross refer the two until recently, when I got a new e-mail address for a famliy member. I edited the adress book on IE with no problem, but when I tried to do the same on Chrome, it didn't accept it.

Digging deeper, I found the Chrome had a different URL for the e-mail than IE and Chrome had no address book, except for one entry I had made some months ago.

The strange thing is that whtever actions I take on the mailbox on Chrome (reading, deleting, etc.) is reflected in the second mailbox on IE. The two home pages are using significantly different addresses for the mailbox. Chrome goes to an address "web.mail.comcast.net/Zimbra/mail ". IE goes to "http://xfinityconnect.mail.comcast.net ".

Can anyone explain the difference and how can I get the two address books in sync, other than typing each into Chrome?

I wonder how that situation would play out with a third browser, like Firefox?

Why the need for two browsers anyway? Just personal preference? For what it's worth, I use Firefox, only, for all of my online needs - unless a problem crops up, and then I resort to IE 11 for a temporary backup.

Sounds like you need to call your ISP and see what they say about the two different Comcast servers.

Why not just use the same URL to access Web mail?

Convenience, mainly, so I don't have to log in and out of each mail box frequently. I can just switch between browsers, as they're both up. I'd drop IE altogether if it wasn't for a daily access to MSN games to print off DW's crossword puzzle. MSN won't allow Chrome to access its game website.

I'll contact Comcast and inquire, as you suggest, James.
