How do I uncheck the "Connect Automatically" boxes on other (my neighbors I presume) networks listed in the Wireless Network Connection pop-up?

Seems that my laptop is 'continuously switching between wireless routers or access points'. Since all of the other networks are checked to 'connect automatically' I am wondering if that could be the problem.

Every time I try to UNcheck the boxes, they come back with check marks.

    On Windows 7:

Open Network & Sharing Center >
On left click Manage wireless networks >
Remove all the profiles except your own.

You may want to keep profiles of wifi networks that are not nearby, such as relatives homes, etc.

Mine is the only one listed here. The "others" are in the Wireless Internet Connection pop-up when I left-click on the signal-strength bar area in my task bar.

The ones you see in the Wireless Internet Connection pop-up are the ones detected & in range or near range. Windows will not switch automatically to other wlans unless you initiate the switch.

In that popup, does it say "Connected" to other wlans from time to time?

    Where are you doing this?
"Every time I try to UNcheck the boxes, they come back with check marks. "
