It means the comp is not getting an IP6 address from your router. No problem, you don't need IP6 yet anyway. You are using IP4 now. Just ignore the events.

Thanks Tony. But maybe you can help me with this...Every morning my "Wireless Adapter has to be Reset. I printed out the Windows Network Diagnostics info after I did the troubleshooter. Is there any specific info you would need to help me? It is 6 pages long. :(

    Do this to disable IP6

    1. open network & sharing center
    2. on left, click on "change adapter settings "
    3. right click the adapter > select properties
    4. uncheck internet protocol version 6 (tcp/ip6)
    5. ok button

If the comp goes to sleep or hibernates at night the wifi adapter probably gets shut off.

Thank You Tony. I disabled IP6. Will have to wait until tomorrow (Monday) morning to see if it works. I do a complete shut-down on my laptop at night. During the day I put it in sleep-mode when not using it...always connects when I 'wake-it-up'.

I tested my Nexus 7 tablet this morning to see if it would connect. Hmmm...it disconnected at the same time my laptop did. At least I know it isn't my new laptop. Has to be something with Comcast and/or router or something. Didn't have the problem with my old laptop.

There's probably a setting in the router to turn off wifi when no clients are connected. An "when idle" or similar.

Just for jokes, type in "ipconfig" in the command prompt (DOS) and tell us if your ISP is feeding you an IPv6 address through dual stack.

Here is what I did a few days ago and have not had any problems since: Set up the Intel(tm) PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility and set it to manage my WiFi instead of Windows managing it. Was able to enter my MAC address as the ONLY one to access. Worked like a charm. :)
