Suddenly unable to use WLM, error "May not be installed properly ". Tried to reinstall WLM " showed that installed copy WLM was newer in computer ". Unable to uninstall WLM as no trace under installed programs. Can anyone advise as to how I can uninstall, as I am unable to use, read or send e-mails.
Can I use another software for e-mails?

James thank you for suggestions. I tried a restore with no success. Link was very helpful. Managed to uninstall WLM and reinstall, however it failed to produce a desktop icon or able to start WLM as icon or reference in Start/Programs is not shown.

Navigate to this folder, and see if you can find the Live Mail icon...

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Mail

If the mail icon is there, see if it works, and then make a desktop shortcut to it.

My thanks for your assistance, most appreciated. No doubt another nasty error awaits in the background.

Did you find a workable link in the Mail folder?
