I receive emails with pictures, I want to forward them but many times I get the message 'one or more photos cannot be sent....' Why? They were forwarded to me, I'd think I could forward them and they'd go 'intact'. They appear in my SENT box as Slide Show photos and not 'in place' in the forwarded mail. What setting do I need to change in Windows Live Mail to make the photos appear with the captions? Thanks.

Mebanne, have you tried clicking on the down arrow just below the Forward button? A message will appear saying "Forward as attachment ".

You're so smart! That fixed it. It was an interesting email with photos of the past and each had a caption. This way, its all kept together. Before, the captions were there but the photos were in slide show. Thank you so much! All these years I never knew how to cure that. :) Thanks.

If you Google-> one or more photos cannot be sent

You'll find tons of info like:

Check the "Security" tab under "Safety Options" to make sure you are not blocking images

"My picture/attachment forwarding problem did indeed seem to be with my virus suite.

I use Avast, and after disabling "Network Shield ", "IM Shield" and "P2P Shield" the problem went away!

To this point I have had NO virus problems with the above disabled. "

EDIT: Looks like while I was typing the problem went away;)

    Good! :)

I haven't experienced the behavior you're talking about, so maybe Steve's suggestions can help you to drill down to a setting of some sort. Post back if you find something.

Thanks Steve. I checked the settings and don't see anything that would prevent my forwarded mail from being different than the form I received it in. I receive all the images and captions correctly...and it doesn't happen with every photo/caption email I get. But occasionally, I try to forward one just as I got it, and then that message about photos, etc.. not being sent appears. It does actually send the photos in the forwarded mail but they are in slide show at the top and separated from the text in the body of the email. At least I know if I forward it now as an attachment, the email will be as it should show. Still a mystery to me why its apparently my email program that does that but I can work around that now. Thanks again you two.
