Good day to all. When opening hyperlink from OE6, my IE6 popsup a "restore" size window. Is there a way to get them always to open maximized? Same is true for other "popup" links in web pages. I know there is some software which will size a particular window each time it is opened, but I am looking for a general setting. I also know that there is a window placement setting in the registry at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\\Window_Placement and that if this entry is deleted, the "restore" window will always be in the upper left-hand corner. Can the data in this key be modified to maximize the window size? If so, does anyone know how to do it?

While your window is in the upper left, grab the bottom right and drag it open, then close it. Should open at the same size next time.;)

Nope. Doesn't work. Also tried holding down CTRL while closing (which works in Windows Explorer) but not in Internet Explorer.

bluejay--How are you clicking on the hyperlink? Left click or right click|Open a New Window?
If the former, this program might help
    http://www.jiisoft.com/iemaximizer/index.htm
If the latter try this which is similar to what Bmoore1129 suggested. When you have dragged the new window to the size you want, close the original window first. Then close the new window.
If nothing above helps, right click on your IE shortcut icon, click Properties. On the Shortcut tab, check to see what size window is the setting in the Run line. Even if the size looks OK, you might try changing, clicking Apply|OK and then going back to the Shortcut tab and changing back.

Hey, Jim. The IE Windows Maximizer is exactly what I was looking for. It did the trick beautifully. Tried the other stuff you suggested but it didn't work. The IE Maximizer makes changes to the registry (I know because I have Script Sentry which informs me if a program is making registry changes) and I wish I knew what they were. But the job sure gets done this way and I am ever grateful. Doesn't use much in the way of resources either. It also has an anti-popup feature but I found it to be rather inadequate so I just disabled it and continued with my old one. Many thanks! BIG :)
