Video display was fine 2 days ago. Now, it is displaying fine gray horizontal lines on all sites and offline as well. Much like a corrugated cardboard.
What can possible causes be ?
I have ATI graphics. Cannot solve problem through that.

I have an older Dell 17" and had a similar problem some time back. I was able to find "Factory Reset" in the monitor menu and that fixed it. May not work for you but it's worth a try unless you have already given it a go.

That did not help. Have gone through all ATI and Display properties. I also need to change my sys. info. as I see it is out of date. Will do now, and check back on Tuesday. Thank you.

Have you tried running in Safe Mode to see if it's OK? Neil.

Can you try your monitor on another computer to confirm it's OK?

Your Graphics are integrated - any updates from Asus? Neil.

Rather than mess with drivers and resets (for now), I recommend you swap monitors with another computer as suggested by retiredlearner. You need to determine (before anything else) if the problem is with the monitor, or with the computer's graphics solution (card or integrated).

If the problem follows your monitor to computer #2, you know the problem is with the monitor. If monitor #2 displays the same lines with computer #1, you know the problem is with your computer's graphics solution.

If no spare monitor or computer note most modern TVs support computer input.
