Can anyone recommend a reliable back up program for XP, which backs up anything and everything to a CD instead of a floppy?

Something simple, reliable and free would be nice but if not,
simplicity and reliability is more important than cost.

    I use PowerQuest Drive image.

It will image and copy to many removable devices CDRW orb etc. Compresses images. Copys one partition to another. Also will handle Fat an NTFS.

    Good to have Partition Magic.

Check Staples, Ofice Depot, Office max, Curcuit City. They usually discount it below the Mfg. Even on line. Do a search!

    Also there are usually rebates.

STAPLES also matches ONLINE prices--they charge for the shipping. All you have to do is find a good deal on the web and print it and take it to them. You get online prices right in the store. I save $77 on my last HP printer.

This is as cheap as I have ever seen it. Deal.com

I wouldn't be without it! It's user friendly yet very powerful. I especially like the fact that I can retrieve a single file from it if I want; I don't have to restore the whole enchilada like some other programs.

    :)

    WOW! Thanks Zep.

That is a good price, best I have seen also. I looked and Partition Magic is the same price.

    Get them both! Smile!

Great deal Zephyr, except that Deal.com won't ship the product to Canada...claim not to have the ability... but they can ship it to third world countries like Panama and Costa Rica. Guess its a state of mind that Californians have, eh? Too bad, as the same product sells here for about $115 Canadian ($74.00 US), before shipping.

Now, if I knew someone who lives in Detroit, Michigan, which is only an hour and a half from my home, maybe we could make a deal. You buy it, I'll drive over and pick it up, and pay you in US funds.
