Resolved [Multiple security software: necessary and benefficial or harmful?]

    I am running AVG anti virus, Malwarebytes and Microsiftt Security Essentials are all these necessary?
    my xp OS crashed and the service tech. installed Win. 7 with all these installed.

    You have one Anti-Virus too many. Uninstall either AVG or MSE.

    Hi cbumpkin. You can remove AVG as you should not have more than one antivirus program running in the background.

    I would also recommend installing SpywareBlaster which will help protect your web browser from getting infected with malicious ActiveX controls and can help keep your browser more secure against dangerous websites.

    Existence of more than one antivirus programs is bound to create problems.

    By default, please use only one antivirus.

    If you suspect the virus activity and installed antivirus is not able to cure it, then you can install additional antivirus to diagnose the computer and uninstall it after the diagnosis.
