2 Million More Passwords for Facebook, Google, Twitter, Other Sites Were Stolen And Posted To The Net

A computer security researcher has stumbled upon another huge file of stolen user names and passwords that was posted on the 'net for other hackers to enjoy.

Daniel Chechik, and his fellow researchers at Trustwave SpiderLabs, found a cache of user names and passwords for 2 million accounts that gives hackers access to accounts on popular websites like Facebook, Google, Yahoo, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.

Have you followed the link "2 Million More Passwords..." on James Martin's post and red the point "Here are the 25 most
popular passwords in the hands of hackers "? There are some really "great" passwords, like "123456 ", "qwerty ", "111111 ",
    "000000 ", "admin ", "abc123" and my all-time favorite, "password ". Oh dear...
If one cant memorise all the passwords, needed in various online services, would be a lot better to write them down on
a note, than use some dumb, extremely easy to guess passwords, like those above mentioned.

Here's the list of dubious passwords...

    • 123456
    • 123456789
    • password
    • admin
    • 12345678
    • qwerty
    • 1234567
    • 111111
    • photoshop
    • 123123
    • 1234567890
    • 000000
    • abc123
    • 1234
    • adobe1
    • macromedia
    • azerty
    • iloveyou
    • aaaaaa
    • 654321

I was wondering if someone would use the first six letters of the keyboard for a password, and it appears they have.

I don't get the azerty password. How can that be so common? I never would have thought of it.
