    Hi all,

Since my friends computer is munged, I remembered Bart's PE Builder.

Would one of you please give me a step-by-step way to use it? I've Googled it, but I'm more  than ever.

    Thanks.

Hi jpChris, If you are going to do the experiment/last ditch, why not try Hirens Boot CD?
    http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd
I've used this with success in the XP environment. If you have a look at the page I've linked, scroll down and you will see that it can install a Mini XP OS which enables you to rebuild/recover to get your XP operating.

You'll need to burn a CD from the Download. Neil.

    Hi Neil,

OK, after I burn the disk, I boot to it ... and then what? I can't find any documentation on how to use it or what to do to repair the XP installation?

    By the by, Happy Thanksgiving!

p.s. I finally got Bart's burned, clicked "Go ", but I don't know which options to use to repair?

    Hi Neil,

I finally got his computer repaired after mucho brain damage and several (3) tries.

Anyway, I'll keep your links so if any problems arise, I'll know where to look. Thank you, Neil.
