Resolved Cnet download problems

    Recently downloaded a free app from Cnet - which was to me always reliable but this item came loaded with tons a really bad Malware and w/o my permission put in extensions to Chrome which caused it to crash many times. So anyone have such probs with Cnet, and is there a really reliable download site??:(

    Cnet is terrible. Lots of people on other MB complaining about malware on the downloads.

    Yah, for years I used Cnet as the default go to place before that it was twocows, but from this experience with Cnet, that's it for me. Thanks

    Softpedia is another great download site but it can be a little harder to navigate when compared to the Filehippo site but its much better than Cnet.

    I saw nothing but their proprietary programs (CCleaner, etc.) unless they have another download link somewhere.
