I've used Adaware free for many years in many versions. I recently uninstalled it but today I wanted to check some malware and downloaded the current version BUT when I went to instal a strange thing happened it went through this endless loop--- "Downloading Windows installer -- downloading application data -- extracting--checking your computer" and back to the first step. It kept on going on and on and on for some 15 min. I gave up and cancelled. What's going on here? This looks very different from prior versions.

BTW I ran malwarebytes today and found 167 PUP files that no doubt came from some app I just downloaded from CNet which popped a red flag from AVG so I wanted to see if there were other items.
    Thanks:mad:

Sounds like you need to post a thread in the Malware Forum first.

Be sure to read the posting rules before starting a thread, as you will be required to post the results of required malware scans.

Finally got it to install BUT it took HOURS and it ended with message, "There is an incompatible program runnin with this (Nothing specific) suggest you uninstall that program." Ha - I took out Ad Aware instead. It ***** up too many resources anyway.
