I'm heading over to a friend's house to help and he says his Win XP Pro shortcuts won't open. Can make them but not open them. And his OE email attachments won't open. He tried to go back with System Restore but all of the dates are grayed out.
Any thoughts on all of this?

Oh my, it was all pretty simple stuff. A few changes in OE. He had attachments and pictures blocked in tools/options/security. And the shortcuts to actual programs all worked. The shortcuts to websites he had on his desktop worked once we reset his browser to Firefox default. The grayed out dates on Sys Restore were the dates that didn't have a restore point! He had several dozen good dates to choose from.
    Thanks for reading.

    *Stupid Question redacted* :p
No, thank you for marking the thread as 'Resolved' and stating what fixed the problem, you'd be surprised at how many don't, or even worse just mark the thread as 'Resolved' and run away... :D

I am very surprised that you do not know that OE refers to Outlook Express.
