I'm familiar with installing Linux and other open-source software from USB sticks. I'm now needing to install Win7 on a DVD-less Shuttle box, and don't want to mess with an external USB DVD drive. Suppliers of ISO downloads assure me they can supply MS-certified ISOs to do this; but I seem to recall reading somewhere that Windows doesn't support installing/booting from flash drives. Which is correct? Am I missing something here? Thanks for any reassurance either way. - edo

Thanks, reading those links eases my mind. I did see reference to the download tool on MS Live but whnever I tried to download it the MS Store came up & tried to get me to buy Win8, which I don't need. So I bailed out in frustration. softwareking.com will get me the download of the Win7 ISO without all the rigmarole, at the same price as from the MS store. And they promise a refund if the install doesn't work.
