no cdrom drives

Hello All,

Last night after removing a few programs all of a sudden none of my five cd roms are being recognized. I get an error 31 and try to reinstall all of the cdroms without success. can some please tell me how to get my cdrom drive backs without having to do a complete reinstallation fo win2k. Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

If this is your problem easycd creator be cafefull it usualy comes packed with directcd witch see this

If you do need (roxio)easycd first try or check if it's in computer manufacturers restore discs restore just that app > sounds like
like you now what your doing --if you already no all this please disregard

It was after I removed WriteCD-RW that the problem started. Any suggestions on how to fix it.

You have thought of the obviuos reinstall the WriteCD-RW
Or use system restore and dont touch write cd this time.
Or If provided use the manufactures restor discs to install just that app.
Of course im just guessing its a program
Did you do the homework there was alot of error 31's
given most of it refers to roxio (adaptec) but will give hints on solving problem.

I did the reinstall thing, took less time than trying to figure it out. To answer why i have 5 cd roms, I just like computers and want to have all there is out there to have.

 

So everything is working now?
Realy ---five cdrom's on the same pc
