I have updated my systems by adding a new pc and removing an older one. I have setuup an new home network(Ethernet LAN) but when I when I look at my network places, I see connected, firewalled & I can't access the other machine. What do I do now? I don't want to turn off the firewall but I don't see a setting to allow access.

I can move files from the home system to the pro but not the other way. This makes NO sense to me at all.

You need to allow File & Printer sharing in your firewall for the computer to share its resources.

Go to the computer which you can't access, login as Administrator & enable File & Printer sharing in your firewall.

I have allowed sharing & the problem still exists. I can move data from the old machine to the new one by moving things to the shared folder of the new machine so it works for me.
