Thank you for the link you provided. Upon reading the information I find two problems:

Create a slide show video by using the Internet & DVD setting.
Don't understand where I find Internet and DVD setting....in PP?

    Open Windows DVD Maker.
I do not have this software

Any further help will be appreciated. I have finished the presentation and have saved it as a slide show too. I don't know how to convert it to wmv.

James, I did the last link you posted and did it all, except for the burning of DVD. Neither Nero and ConvertXtoDVD would burn the wmv files. Now I am back to start over. I am using Office 2007.

Will D/L one of the programs, you listed above do what I need? I am very hesitant to D/L programs to my computer, but I need to get this done. I borrowed a laptop (Vista) but the wmv files do not show up in sequence in Win DVD Maker. Will Win DVD Maker accept jpeg files?

Sorry for the many questions, but I have never done anything like this before.

    TIA

What am I doing wrong? Both the wmv files and the jpeg files load into Dvd Maker but previews of both only show about 6 slides of the 185. I don't want to burn that. What can I do to show all 185 slides.

    Ann,

I am not proficient in Power Point, but I did manage to find an already created presentation to work with (12 slides).

I opened the presentation in Power Point 2007, clicked on Save As located under the start orb (Office button), and selected Other Formats. Then, I clicked on the Save As type down arrow and scrolled down to JPEG File Interchange Format. This allowed me to save the presentation slides to a new folder on my desktop (or the location of your choosing).

Next, I opened Windows DVD Maker, clicked on Add Items, and then selected all of the slides (12) from the previously made new folder. I clicked "next" at the bottom right of Windows DVD Maker and came to the Ready To Burn DVD page. Here, you can edit your slide show to create Pan & Zoom effects (also known as the Ken Burns effect), etc. I dis-selected the Pan & Zoom option for my presentation because my slides had messages imprinted on them.

After final editing, you click the Preview button, wait a moment or two, and hold your mouse over the first image and you will see options to select “play” or “scenes”. I presume these two choices will also pop up on a TV / monitor screen for selected viewing options via a DVD player. I previewed all 12 slides, but I did not do any actual burning to disc. I did not have any audio files to deal with, either, for what it's worth.

I hope these steps help you in some way.

EDIT: I recently imported over 300 jpg photos (some mpg files were included) into Windows DVD maker, and I was able to view (preview) as many as I wanted to. I am sure I could have viewed them all, but I did not have the time.

James, You can't imagine how grateful I am for your step-by-step help. I actually did everything you posted EXCEPT click play. I never even saw the play button. At 77, my eyes are not great. Thank you so very much.

The original DVD that I said only played four slides is actually complete and played when I hit the Play button on the DVD remote. I thought it would play like a slide show.

Again, James, you saved the day and I thank you!

    Outstanding!

I learned a little something about these programs as well.
