Pictures shown when playing audio in VLC

I have a digital recorder I recorded some audio talks on. Obviously they don't have video.
Now, when I play the talks, I see pictures when the audio is going. They are nothing I took or have. They're are different pictures each audio I listen to.

I wondered if it could be a virus so I scanned with Security Essentials and ESET Online Scanner and none show up.

What could it be? It didn't do this before.

What made the pictures show up in the first place? Looks like some are of a party where people are standing around drinking beer.
These are not normal pictures that came with the player nor are on my computer.

I would go to the Malware section and run the scans that are asked for and post the results. There are other things that need to be run that will pick up things that the 2 programs you ran won't see. There is not a "one or two programs" that will find all that there is out there.
