I recently was "forced" to move up to Windows 8. I am using Classic Shell to try and ease the transition. The system is quite a bit faster than before. I don't know if it's the new PC, Windows 8, or a combination , regardless of what it is I am very happy. I'm having some none critical problems, but I would like to clear them up. When these issues are cleared I would like to stop using the Classic Shell and stick with the way Windows 8 was designed. My primary concern now is the Magnifier. I am legally blind and must use the system supplied Magnifier. I use the Magnifier docked at the top of the screen. When I try to display a picture the system magnifies the entire picture +900%, the magnification power I need to use. The same thing occurs when I go to the Windows 8 home page. When I used the Magnifier with Windows 7 the whole picture was visible on the screen and not magnified. My screen saver was a series of pictures, which I can't use now. Also, when I play a video the magnified portion of the screen is still visible. With Windows 7 the video filled the whole screen and the magnified portion was hidden by the video. How can I fix this issue?

    Thank you
    Kevin

Hi Doc. . .My 13 year old grand-son was here earlier this week and explained how little I know (where is MVS when I need it?). Then he fixed my magnifier problem.

    Thanks
    Kevin
