I recently completed the start up procedure for Outlook 2010.

My messages from Outlook.Com transferred to Outlook 2010.

I then assumed that all messages would come to Outlook 2010 and not to Outlook.Com., so I went to Outlook.Com and deleted all the messages in the system.

Later, when I checked Outlook 2010, I discovered that on deleting all the messages from Outlook.Com, they were deleted from Outlook 2010 as well.

I did a Google on how to get these back, and came across an article:

    http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/software/3450427/find-messages-you-deleted-in-hotmail/

The article says at the bottom of the Deleted folder there's a "recover deleted messages" option. My Outlook.Com account doesn't appear to have this facility.

Could you please be of assistance?

Yes, I had that problem aswell (not finding the link in deleted folder), here's how I 'fixed it':

    1) I sent a message to myself, then deleted it, (might work with just deleting any message, but seeing as you don't have any...).

    2) Now from inside the deleted folder click 'empty' at the top, and then 'ok'.

    3) Then when it deletes the message if you scroll down, there should be a link that says 'recover deleted messages'. :)

p.s. After deleting the message (second time) you might have to go out of the 'Deleted' folder and then go back in, but try it without at first.

If you have deleted data from Outlook then first check in the Deleted Items folder, which is located in your folder list.
If it isn't there then you can attempt to recover recently deleted items: click on the Deleted Items folder, then go to Tools menu and select the 'Recover Deleted Items' option.
If the option is greyed out then there is nothing to recover. Otherwise it will give you a list of items from which you can recover your lost data. If your lost data is not in this list, you may need a reovery program to fix it.
