Problem getting Outlook ad Word to close.

    On two Win 7 Home Premium machines, Microsoft Outlook and Word will not close. I need to go to Task Manager and use End Process.

    I tried Repair for Office two ways: from Control Panel| Programs, and by using an Office disc. Neither worked.

    Any ideas?

    Do they not close - or do they close but are still running in task manager?

    Outlook looks to be closed, the way the icon looks in the taskbar. Word, this is not true. On the taskbar, one can see that Word is open.

    Sometimes, it takes a complete reinstall of Microsoft Office to fix things.
