I'd have to know a lot more about what the machine would be used for. Both of them would be extreme overkill for I'd need for a home unit...

An i5 with half the ram could be purchased with a monitor for less money... I prefer Dell's.

Both machines are very very similar. Looks like the first one might have a "little" bit better video but half the amount of hdd space.

I don't see USB 3.0 on the HP Phoenix Desktop - so to avoid future issues, that one is out.

Hi pccoach. I would get the HP system since it has a slightly better video card than the Asus computer.

The HP machine is a little more expensive but it seems like the better deal especially since it has wireless Internet built in already.

Actually the HP machine does include USB 3.0.

Get the HP Envy Phoenix 800-060 Desktop PC product number H5P88AA directly from HP . I always purchase directly from the manufacturer. My nephew has that model and he loves it. He has a ton of baby pictures on it. New fathers love to take a lot of baby pictures especially if it's a girl. Good luck.

Where do you see that? The other HP machine says 3.0, the one I noted above does not - or I missed it.

My mistake for assuming the specs page would state the specifications. :(

    Thanks.
