    Hi

I am getting constant pauses trying to watch and MP4 movie on SkyDrive. I think it is filling the cache very slowly?

    Any ideas welcome.

    Tony

I am assuming it must be buffering as it starts again after a while

    What's your Internet connection like?

What does it look like on speedtest.net?

Does the problem exist when using a different browser to the one you are using currently?

I know from several friends in your country that Internet is both expensive and slow. It will also depends where Microsoft's SkyDrive servers are located which hold your files.

According to Microsoft your data is most likely in The Netherlands/Ireland.

So use http://www.speedtest.net/ and run a test from Dublin & Amsterdam and let us know what results you get.

FYI I (only) have a 5/2 MB connection and I get:

Dublin: 6.01 Mbps down / 3.21 Mbps up
Amsterdam: 5.64 Mbps down / 3.39 Mbps up

My DSL is supposed to be 4mb per second but I lucky to get 1.5 right now!!!!!! I am convinced this is the problem - I only use Google as IE has been terrible over the years.

Have reported a line problem to the supplier - let's see how they improve it?

Have you shut everything down and restarted them one at a time. Modem/Router and PC?

Usually it is done the other way. Modem/router then PC. Let each one settle down for a couple of minutes before powering on the next one.

But glad all is well. Sometimes if I am having a problem with slowness, I just power down the modem/router and all goes back well.
