Resolved Windows 7 Xp mode

I have windows 7 running in 64 bit I uninstalled XP Mode and deleted the Virtual machine.
I rebooted, and downloaded XP Mode 32 bit and, and then downloaded virtual machine installed it (I may have use the 64 bit version of VM unsure of ) It works well My problem is I installed Microsoft Security Ess as my anti virus. It downloads the Security Essentials updates but will not finish installing. just sets their forever, also the xp updates will not finish the update scan. I have deleted both XP mode and VM reinstall it again same exact problem. I checked and
device manager I have XP service pack 3 installed Add/remove Programs has no NET framework showing but in win7 program it shows Net 4framework
Any useful hints. Thanks fot reading my problem

 

In Win 7 or XP ?

The host operating system [Win 7] can & will have different programs installed than the guest [Win XP] OS. That's why you have to install programs again in the guest OS. Both the systems are separate.

 

In Windows XP Mode,

1) Load IE, click Tools > Windows Update and then download and install all available updates.

2) Reboot.

3) Keep repeating steps 1) and 2) until there are no more updates to download.

 

I downloaded Hotfix for Xp installed it and the updates ate all working and installed NET.Framework 3 5> One of the two download fixed it are both not sure which, It's functional now.
