I'm currently running Windows 98. I would like to set my comp up for dual-booting, ie: Windows98 and WindowsXP. What would be the best way to do this? Fdisk with two partitions ? Use Partition Magic ? Or use XP Free Space ?

    Thanks,
    Nev

My personal opinion is to keep the drives on seperate partitions.
    Using FDisk...
    Partition Magic works good...
    But CAN be unstable...
I have done your exact same project twice...
Once on a new hard drive, once using PM...
And have had no problems thus far with either...
But if you can I would always recommend that you wipe the drive clean first...

And I would always recommend installing the older os first.

I have PM 6.0 If I were to go that route would I set-up my new partition to be "primary or logical "? I have a 80gb hard drive and I would like to split it in half for each of my two operating systems.

    Thanks for the reply
