What is meant by signing in to Internet Explorer, if it is not the same thing as clicking on the ie icon? I want to manage add-ons and need to find settings, which I am unable to find. Yahoo is my home page.

    Hi JTee.

Signing in on a website means entering your user name and password to login. Whereas clicking on the IE shortcut simply opens IE.

In IE, at the top click Tools< Manage add-ons to open the Manage add-ons window.

Tools is not there, at the top. Maybe I do not understand what is meant by "in IE ". I use the IE browser to access the internet. Right now the menu that allows 'reply', etc., is back. Why does it disappear?

I'm confused. That sounds like an email program.

Click the light-blue, lowercase "e" icon to load Internet Explorer (IE). Hold down the [Alt] key and tap the [T] key. You should now be looking at IE's Tools menu.

Thanks, Evan, signing in to IE was a confusing directive to me; I know how to sign into websites w/my User Name & PW.

Hi JTee, Graphic symbols are used in IE now. Upper right shows a Gear (hover mouse over it) > Alt+X and new interface will open. Neil.

No Problem. So do you have other questions or would you consider this thread resolved?

The problem seems to have been resolved. I am unable to identify what resolved the issue, as none of the suggestions in this matter has been helpful, and I believe it was the steps I went through in Malwares that resolved all issues. Thanks for letting me know where to go to mark this as resolved, as it's been a matter of more than a year or so, since I've been on this site, Evan, and had forgotten.
