Using System Restore in Safe Mode solved my problem with links, but it created a different problem, one that I've had before:
The Junk Mail option for "Safe Lists Only" in Outlook 2010 won't stay put and has to be set everytime I open the program. Without it, everything is "junk." I've had this problem several times before, and I can't remember how it gets resolved.

Guessing you mean you get a lot of junk mail and good mail.

    I'm not familiar with:
But I do know that if I highlight mail and then right click and mark the mail as Junk - all future mail from the same source will automatically go to my junk folder.

Thanks for responding, Steve. My problem is actually with the Junk Mail Option. I'm getting all the junk mail in my inbox. When I check the option for Safe Lists Only, it works until I get out of Outlook and go back in, again, when it's back to No Automatic Filtering. I choose Safe, click OK, and exit. Go back to check, and it's back to No Filtering, again

I would save anything that I needed and uninstall Outlook and reinstall it. Then import what I saved back into it.

    Uninstall Office?

Thanks for responding, MrBill. My Outlook is part of Microsoft Office. Do I need to uninstall the whole thing? I don't see a way to uninstall just Outlook. And, by the way, I think I've already tried this several months ago. Can't be sure, though, so I'll do it again.

Not familiar with 2010, but in earlier versions, you could do Express "I think" it was called and it would do everything which was normally checked for you or do Custom and pick what you wanted.

So frustrating. OK, I uninstalled and reinstalled, but I still have the same problem with the Safe List option not "sticking." I've gone through this for a couple of years, now. I get it to work right, and then it fails - and I can't remember what I did that made it work right. I wonder if others have had this problem with Outlook 2010.
