Resolved Vista to windows 7 Recovery

    When upgrading ( or full) from vista to windows 7 - Is the Recovery partition
    also changed from vista to win7?

    I don't think so from what I have read on different sites from Google. I don't know if you could make your own by installing it on both C and D. Don't know if MS will let you do that.

    You have a Gateway and I would contact them and see what they advise.

    My 2 cents worth ....

    The Recovery Partition will NOT be changed from Vista to Win 7. That partition was created by the computer manufacturer and it will NOT be recognised by Windows 7 as it is/was linked to the Vista install.

    Window 7 has a built in facility to image the C:\ drive which, given that it works, obviates the need for a Recovery Partition.
