I have had a hard time researching this one due to the nature of describing the issue. Lines on the screen? Brings up a lot of hits not specific to this issue.

I have an image I can post that will help describe the issue.

Anyway, this computer has an issue where 1 to 2 inch wide bars (about 1/4 inch high) on the screen will be duplicated on other parts of the screen. Sort of like when a digital satellite or cable image gets slightly scrambled.

This problem even happens when remoting in to the computer. I have used UltraVNC and Logmein and both show the issue though Logmein seems to show the issue less.

I have updated the video drivers and reinstalled our RMM software (Labtech) as well as reinstalling Logmein and the issue persists.

The computer is a Dell Optiplex GX 520. I also noted that while moving the mouse around the screen, the bars change/move (more change than move).

Anyone have an idea what the issue might be? I am thinking a hardware issue with the video card or a memory issue but possibly the memory issue is with the video card as well but am not sure.

Still have not tried having the computer boot into safe mode and see if the issue persists as they use it for work periodically.
