All of a sudden, Itunes won't update my Ipod in Windows 8. It doesn't even recognise that the Ipod is connected.

I got one error message from Itunes that the driver had been corrupted and it was trying to fix it.

I got another message from Windows that it had blocked the installation of an unlicenced driver.

I uninstalled Itunes, rebooted and reinstalled it without result but no error messages.

Just had a Windows update so I think that is the culprit.

Disregard - It seem ed to be an Ipod issue.

I thought it was an Ipod issue but it wasn't so I have marked this back to unresolved. It appears there is a feature in Windows 8 that blocks unlicenced drivers and in one of the recent updates, who knows if it is Windows or Itunes or the OS of my Ipod (it could be the latter as an older Ipod did sync) one of the drivers or Windows detection has decided that the driver needs to be blocked.

Right now, it is possible to sync an Ipod in Windows 8 but in order to do so you have to restart Windows disabling the driver blockers beforehand.

Does anyone know if this can be reported to Microsoft and/or Apple and if so where?

I do wish they would work with each other so the consumer doesn't have to waste mountains of time.
